Patagonia is the southern most point of the Andes mountains in South America. In the summer, the sun shines for hours and the wind tears fiercely over the terrain. Glacier minerals create sediment in the lakes, making them the richest shades of turquoise. Moss, bushes, and trees make home for insects and birds. We stayed in an eco dome while in El Chaltén and enjoyed 4 days without technology - reading, hiking, and painting.
